Not too long ago a lady sent me a very small, black and white photo of her childhood home and asked if I could somehow paint a front view of it in color and add the wysteria tree (not pictured) as well. So, I figured I would never know that I couldn't do it until I tried. So, here is my attempt...the first picture is the original angle, the second picture is what I imagine the front view of the house was like and the third picture is the original photo which I used. Not sure if I succeeded, but it was a good challenge for me and I love trees, so at least I had fun with it. I actually ended up painting 2 of the front views (gifts for her family and herself), but they looked so similar I'm only posting one.

Beautiful grandchildren
I loved painting this beautiful family. With every detail, God reminded me of how unique we all are.

shadows and a house
I love shadows and knew when I saw this photo it was going to be as much about the shadows as it was about the house. I thank God for shadows...not just because they're beautiful to look at but because of what they remind me of in life. We must have shadows to see more brilliantly the light. That's life.
Brown Eyed Boys photography
My friend, Brenda, is a wonderful photographer and she asked me to paint a small canvas with her logo on it, so I did...twice! The first time I did it, I did it too big, oops! So, I realized my mistake and did another. I'm getting pretty good at this logo (thank goodness it was pretty simple and cute). If you're in the Birmingham area and need a photographer, look her business up!
baby boy nursery
The bedding that this was taken from is a really cute bunny toile, so I pulled out a couple of the characters in the bedding and used part of the landscape for the background. This will go above baby Luke's crib. Now they're just waiting for little baby Luke.
pink and green
I love pink and green for a nursery. Wish I could have seen what the bedding looked like, but sometimes its good not to know...helps me be a little more creative and less "matchy-matchy".
second of two...
This is the second one that is part of a set of two, but I can't show the first one because it has the baby's name and the parents have decided to keep the name a secret (but not from me : ) I feel so honored to be in the inner circle !!!
