I did several little watercolors with just verses on them. Oops! I just realized I forgot the reference on this first one.

Little watercolor with Psalm 139:14 on it.

This is basically the same design as one I did earlier, but different colors; its turquoise and brown (it looks blue, but it really is turquoise).

John Deer Tractor

So, I don't have boys, so tractors and trucks are two things we don't see around our house alot (though Isabelle surprises me sometimes). So, this was a fun one to do, but I had to do a little research...there are a lot of models of tractors, did you know that? I thought this one was good...you know, aesthetically speaking. The verse is Jer. 29:11; you can't really see it because of the flash. Hey, I never claimed to be a photographer.

Isabelle's new teacher

So, Isabelle started 4k today and since she'll be going 5 days a week, I figured I really needed to be in prayer for her teacher. When I went to meet her teacher last week she had all the kids' names on the door; each name on a t-shirt cut-out hanging on a clothesline. So, I got this idea and this verse came to mind. I thought it very appropriate for someone who would be with 12 4 year olds every day. Ms. Elaine is so sweet. We love her already.

Something a little different

I like to do things that are different every once in a while and this was a bit different from my normal style. I LOVE color, so to use only white/black and grey was a challenge for me. The result was masculine which is what I was going for (since this was for a man) and it went along with the verse; "As Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Prov. 27:17.

The first picture is the side view to show the detail on the side.

Camoflauge/poem

11 x 14 camoflauge design; this is for a baby boy nursery.

Cool baby nursery

These are for a baby boy's nursery. They were done to match his very cool baby bedding...and if I ever have a boy, I'm getting this or at least I'm going to use the same designer. I hope you like them, Erin! The circle one was one of my favorites to do.

His bedding is called "Bullseye" or something like that. Its mostly white, but they are using dark brown furniture, so I used the dark brown to contrast with all the fun colors.

Monkey business!

I had so much fun doing these monkey pictures! My favorite is the bathtub monkey. Nicki, i hope Jonah enjoys these!

I put these four together in one picture because this is how I "envisioned" them to be displayed, though they could be displayed in one long row as well. Also, I'm just so tired tonight that I wanted to get them posted and go to bed. Between the Olympics and my birthday festivities I've been stayin' up a bit too late! Better go to bed.

First: another train (Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old her will not turn from it - Prov. 22:6)

The next two pictures are the same painting (16 x 20). The first is a front view.

I took this just to show the dots on the edges.

Joshua 24:15

12 x 12 canvas/ sage green and brown. You can't tell from the picture, but this canvas is actually about 1 1/2 inches thick, so its really blocky. I love this verse too. Great verse for Christ followers to have in their house.

Thanks for your orders!

I remember a few years ago a friend of mine decided to stay home with her kids and start a baking business. I was so impressed by her faith and her testimony as she would tell me how each month God brought her just enough business to meet their financial needs. When I decided to stay home 4 years ago I never intended to "stay home" this long. I thought I would go back to teaching after about a year. Then I had Cassidy and we moved several times and it was clear that I was to stay home a little longer. I love it. Now that I am painting from home I know what its like to rely on the Lord to meet our needs each month. I don't say that for anyone to feel sorry for me or to try to get more business. I just say that to say thank you for your business; for helping me to do the things that I love the most;
1. Be with my little girls while they're little
2. Paint and be creative; its a serious outlet for me and you're helping my sanity by letting me paint for you...my husband thanks you too.
3. Glorify and Honor the Love of my life...my Jesus...my Lord. I do love Him more than anything. I hope my art reflects that.

I did this for a wedding gift. It says "What God has joined together, let not man separtate.

A sweet canvas for a sweet girl. I thought the candiholic needed a candy canvas for her door.

Cross design

This design is a good idea when there really isn't a "theme" in a room, because you can just use the colors in the room and come up with an appropriate design for a girl or a boy. I did another one similar to this, but for a girls' room (check out "Emily Faith" and "Maggie Mae" in an earlier post). I think this will look good with the other one I did for the same room.

I've done this design before, but changed the colors to match a bedroom and changed the verse as well.

My featured artists

So, the girls (Isabelle, 4 and Cassidy 2) decided that I needed help today as I painted. So I gave them each a canvas (or candas, as Isabelle says) and let them select some colors and they went to town. They're hilarious. They turned out a bit abstract, but you should have seen the process...now that was art!

I just got done with these 3
16 x 20 verse canvases and this is how they look in Baby Bella's nursery. I hope she enjoys them for many years to come! The second little monkey is for Haden; another new born baby!

empty canvases

Here are some canvases with only borders. If there is something you'd like i can put your name and a design to match.

My latest watercolor portraits

Here are two that I've done most recently. The colors are really light in the photo because of the flash.

Art inspired by God's word and all of his creation
