Mortgage free!!!

I'm so jealous. The lady I did this for was getting this done for her husband to tell him they had paid off their house! Oh the bliss! I can't even imagine since we move every 2 years or so (which means we're due for a move actually) and we re-finance every time we move. What a great thing to celebrate though! Way to go!

happy mother's day!

I did two of the next pic. They're a little bit different. I really can't do the same exact thing twice. just goes to show that every single painting is an original.

I used to love to do paintings for my mom for mother's day! I haven't done one in a while for her b/c quite frankly, she doesn't really have any more wall space...neither does my mother-in-law. Here are just a couple that I have done recently and I'm still working on a few more that I will post just as soon as I get them done...hopefully, sometimes it takes me a while to get to the "posting" part.

Baby Cassie

I should have titled this painting "The HEAD". babies have huge heads. This is my baby, so I can say that. She's almost 3 now, but I drew this out a while ago. Its from a photo taken when she was about 6 months old...if that. i can't remember. Anyway, I found the drawing today and decided since my daughters were painting I would paint too and I did. the picture in the corner is the original photo. I didn't deviate too much obviously. I'm not sure if I'm done, but I am for today anyway.

Here are a few paintings I have done in the past. None are recent, but I thought I'd put them on here.

Katie's house

I love homes with character...wish mine had more...not that i'm ungrateful for my home. This home is so cute. I think built in the early 1900's..can't remember exactly. Anyway...blah, blah...here's my interpretation of it.

Beautiful Mary Peyton

Here's the latest watercolor portrait. Its 22 x 30. I especially love the colors in the dress though my daughter scolded me because she said it was supposed to be white (I think in the original picture its actually pink)...she's four though. I told her "well, I'm the artist and I see colors." She didn't understand, but she will someday.
